Kuala Lumpur
Has a very good Metro system. There are a few offical lanes and railway operators in teh city and the suburbs. So Putrajayas and the airport can be reached in ease.
The h uge towers are fascinating as they stand partly spread around in the tropical hills of Kuala Lumpur.
Merdeka 138 -KL is rising near China town and during nights as in back of the smaller renovated and much older houses
it looks fascinating with ist light effects and the contrast so close.
There are also highrise building in China town, but far not as tall as Merdeka 138. Fivestars by Sheraton looks
different and more as many other huge hotel.
Main Metro KL station in China town is named Bukit Bintang, only three stations from KL Sentral in the south. Golden Triangle
The thing about taxis that you should arrange price before getting the raide. Most peollke use the grap app with that they can practically se the cab on way and hiw ling it might take till it is at your location.
Set the price before and even during rush hours when prices can rise sharply bad surprises will get on minor scael. Anyway time will be more. Metros and monorails will cover distances much faster during same time.
Golden traingle KL is a quite supermodern and fency looking area of KL has the
LOW YAT PLAZA with it, one of worlds largest and
highest Digital Equipment sellers, from Computers, speakers, sound systems, kitchen stuff, Cameras, mobile shops and netbook
stores of all brands.
The more you know what you want the better, shops and floors are many and you will need some time to figure out what may fit your needs.
If a box gets big they may even take it down with you to exit on ground floor via 4 levels in elevators. They are friendly people.
Some 3 km east of China town you find the
Botanical garden KL, where is also the Butterfly farm located and the Bird park.
The Butterfly farm has show rooms, with Scorpions, spiders and huge butterflies form other world regions and other insects form teh tropics.
Butterfly farm KL is worth a visit, it has hundreds of different butterflies is very structured but superhumid withn its many small springs and waterways.
In its back is teh Bitanic garden open and quite big a few hubdered hectars, with some lakes and watreways.
Botanical Garden has in its tanks and basins the
Lemon Cichlid (Cichlasoma citronella) from Central America, a lemon colored tropical fish, its size was usually around 15 to 20 cm, shy and hiding under the rocks.
A quite very comon freshwater fish the Hechtlinge (Aplocheilus panchax) surface fish, which can be found at locations like
Pulau Tiomans coastal freshwater streams, ponds al the way to Pulau Pangkors djungle rivers and streams,
has a nice colored backfin to differ it form other djungle fish. Snakehedas are common hunters anywhere from S India Cylon to SO Asia.
At Kanchanaburi in flatwaters it can be watched from woodplank swamp paths.

New Delhi
New Delhi got a new airport about 45 minutes out of downtown Delhi by taxi or car.
Well known is Cunnaught Place with its huge roundabout of maybe 3 najn lanes whith of it another 4 rto 5 lanes.
Many shops and in its center a parklike area where people and students meet.
Even some tiny bumblebee stile drones got seen rarely. Delhi has a new Metro which got many new stations connected over last years.
From
Pahar Ganj the mainmarcet you can reach the Red Fort on foot over some very busy 30 minutes. But better and more comfortable by Rikshaw or taxi. On way a big railroad bridge need to get crossed and then some more smaller and massy streets till the Red Fort and the big Jama Mashjid, both set not far from each other.
Bus tickets to all major tourist destinations far outside Delhi can get bought in any better travel agency in Pahar Ganj, there are a few.
To get out of New Delhi it can take some one and half hour during evenings and on way it can happen that busses need to get changed at costumer collection points.
Usually it should be one bus, delux or semidelux what means with pushback and good seats, also sleeper and mixed sleeper busses possible on some routes.
Maior destinations to north are Mc Leaod ganj and Manali in HP (Himachal Pradesh) Rishikesh and Badrinath oin Uttarkhand from where busses head far into the Himalayas moving through the Himal foothills. Usually I fhad some days or one week pause at Rishikesh before moving deeper into the Mountain areas.
River Ganga is fabulouse at hight of Rishikesh. The river with offical and legal human status has nice sandbanks there, small Jhula bridges roapway bridges and also spread around huge round granite rocks on its shores.
Well known to Delhis south are Agra with the worldfamouse Taj Mahal, to the southwest Jaipur and Pushkar quite far away in Rajasthan. Better take a train there instead, AC sleeper and alike. Railways connect allreday some cities at the Himal foothills as Kathgodam near Haldwani from where Almore and kausani can get reached by bus then after leaving railtracks.
Delhi has two big major railway stations, Nizamuddin and the New Dalhi cant at the end of Main Bazar street. Calculate busy strets and lots of people on reads and streets and all vehicels possible ypu can imagine, even here and then a big Bull or some cows.
Liquor shops can be crowded and full during evening rush hours but an experience by itself, the many men in some 7x 7m shop, is is around the corner of New Delhi cantt.
Hawkers and shop keepers may speak to you for all kind of biz and deals, the more greenhorn like looking the more you will hear them getting close.
Indians are nice, curiouse, interested, they like to speak with foreigners for all kind of reasons, and often with a bright smile. Sometimes it happened that rikshaws got to see changing drivers on wings. During morning times they take also school pupils to schools in some more simple areas of Delhi, but also taxis or private cabs from all walks of life can be seen.
In Delhis Metros it should also be the case that men and women can use designated coaches.
Parliament area has a huge maidans, open field areas, wide streets and parklike zones,
partly used for parades during festival days.
Chanakiapoori is the embassy quarter which got reached once on pushbike (a good solide mountain bike from EU once, see on soem old galleries)
during soem 30 minutes, over the years Delhi it got very much more busy with cars and multiuse vehicles. So better use a taxi or motorrikshaw to reach Chanakiapuri with has embassies from Germany, USA, Austria, Swiss, and the more.
No special permit is needed to get into the area but there is everywhere security at the embassy gates and cams along its
wide and more silent roads.
Red Fort and Jama Mashid area are very authentic and part of real India. But overall, its a universal subcontinent. Once it got also named state of mind (mind your steps as well, streets can be challanging in older quarters)
There can come motorbikes along in one meter wide oldquarter roads, bumpy, but also dealmaker capable locations as well. Do not tell any president, indian volks know that well.
Parallel to Main Bazar is also a Veg marcet, with all kind of veg and herb sellers, in shops you get packed stuff. Main Bazar has also shops for jewelleries and gems, often from Jaipur (Pink city) in Rajasthan.
Delhi overall is as many worlds Megacities, a quite cosmopolitan place. I got to experience 3 different embassy crews (minimum)
over some 20 years, indian stuff and me were often amused of the rituals and some alpine ettikette.
